Hi there,

I'm trying to save a FrameMaker file on FrameMaker 2020 as a .fm 2017 file. Unfortunately when I try, I can only select 2020 or 2019. Is there a way at all to choose 2017?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Generally, in FM, you can directly save in the format of the previous version.
For previous versions, you can use MIF.
However, there are utilities available from 3rd party vendors that allow you to save in older versions as well.

You should be able to save it in MIF format and then open the MIF in FM 2017.

Hi shalomb61686619,

Thanks for the reply. I'll give your suggestion a try. However, does this mean that it is not possible to directly save a 2017 .fm file?
