I suggest making this an Announcement @Nandini Krishna & then locking it.

I suggest not locking it, because no one at Adobe has been able to fix the problems with my Pre-Release account, so I can only communicate about any release-specific issues via the open forum. If matters spin out of control, then by all means lock.

@Bob_Niland I'd just create new posts that discuss the issue; hiding them inside a patch release announcement isn't going to do much for discoverability by anyone else.

Be aware that this update is not compatible with 64-bit FrameSLT and FrameScript 7. These were working for me in Update 3.
Cannot initialize API client C:\Users\Rick\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\WestStreet\FrameSLT_FM2020.dll.
Check for errors in the APIClients section of the maker.ini file in FrameMaker install location or your %appdata% folder, verify that the client program exists, and make sure you have enough swap space to run the client.

Hi Rick,
Do you have any idea why FrameScript 7 does not run in this update?
Is there anything what I can do?
Best regards, Winfried

I don't know. It's unusual for a point release to require a recompile of plugins. Adobe should have mentioned this in the release notes. I went back to Update 3 so I can use FrameScript and FrameSLT.

Hi ,
We will be releasing the updated FDK soon for recompiling the plugins. This is required as there were library updates for security fixes. Will keep this thread updated.
Thanks and Regards

I am not seeing the new FDK at that link:

And there is also not any update 4.
Strange that the updates are hidden behind "September 2022 release". Adobe, why do you add a month? Confusing.

This what I found after this update:
1. Hyphenation doesn't work properly. If you are working and have the hyphenation option turned off but the word contains a dash, the FM itself adds another dash and it will not smooth it out correctly.
2. The program does not print/publish PDF files correctly. I only work with black in my files. After printing a pdf file, Acrobat displays the graphics as a 4-color CMYK component, which is not true, or sometimes the file is correct and prints/publishes. There are no rules, rather a lottery.
Since I also have the 2019 version, I checked how it works in this version and everything looks correct.
This is the problem with FM 22.
3. The program does not print/publish PDF files for RTL languages correctly if bold is used in the file. I don't have this problem i FM 20219.
4. View in bounding box in table are incorrect when you use RTL languages.
This is how it looks in FM 22
The option to expand the table is displayed at the bottom of the table and should be on the left. Like in FM 2019
5. The FrameScript situation is a big mistake on Adobe's part. Because this is a big problem for people using this plugin. In fact, you should solve it as soon as possible.
For now the only reasonable solution is probably to return to FM 2019.

Might be better to create Tracker (https://tracker.adobe.com/) issues for your points to get them on Adobe's radar.
