I would like to validate a Dita file in Framemaker. I have the file open. In the Structure menu, the Validate... command is always grey. What's the trick?

You have to open that particular file in FrameMaker, then the Validate command should be available.

Can't tell if you just have the book open or the actual file.

I closed everything, then reopened just a file, then the command was available.

I guess "Validate" does not produce the same results as the Console.
