What is the difference between saving as html in FM vs importing into RoboHelp?

I noticed that there is a "save as html" option in FrameMaker 9. Why would a person choose that option over linking in RoboHelp?

Well if you don't have a RH licence and want to export to HTML....

Importing to RH is just one way of getting FM content. The Technical Communications Suite 2 offers others. It is just another way to skin a cat.

I believe that is a holdover from the days before the relationship with

RoboHelp. In my experience, there is a lot of setup required before a

Frame file can successfully be saved as an HTML file. It might be useful

if all you want to do is save one or two pages of the Frame file as HTML

pages, but if you are wanting to create HTML Help, stick with the RoboHelp

option.

Hope that helps!
