adobe fresco keeps crashing on startup after loading documents.

Whenever I start up fresco it crashes right after the loading documents screen. I looked in event viewer and it told me it was an "Exception code: 0xc0000005" In the "gemini_uwp_bridge.dll" file

I tried driver updates, reinstalling it, checking for corrupt system files, and doing a Windows Memory Diagnostic scan, but to no avail.

if I go back a Fresco version, it works but crashes after selecting brushes or brush size.

any help is very much appreciated.

Hello @_Mathéo,

Sorry for the delayed response. I hope the problem is resolved by now. If not, would you mind trying to update the OS/Fresco to the latest version and checking if it helps?

Also, kindly reinstall the GPU drivers (Intel / NVIDIA / AMD) and set the Graphics Preference to High-Performance for Fresco (https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-110) and check if it helps.

Additionally, check if all of your work is synced online (https://assets.adobe.com/cloud-documents). If yes, please try resetting Fresco (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/repair-apps-and-programs-in-windows-e90eefe4-d0a2-7c1b-d...) and share your observations.

If the issue persists, kindly share the logs by following the steps shared in this help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-log-collector.html), so we can check it with the team.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

I mean do you really think I hadn't already tried all this after reading you 11 answers that all suggest the same thing over n over srsly as if saying it another time would magicaly fix the problem lol, I shared the logs somewhere but you didn't provided any other help so I just stopped using the software and now guess what? I stopped using adobe, the only one I really liked was illustrator but seams like figma is better than I expected... so yeah, I'm having a great time!

  1. Go to Creative Cloud Desktop Application.
  2. Press Ctrl+Alt+R.
  3. It will show a dialog to Relaunch.
  4. Click Continue and wait for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Launch Fresco.

Hi there,

I have tried this multiple times but it has not fixed anything, unfortunately. Any other suggestions?

Hello,

I have just downloaded v4.7.1 onto my Surface pro 8 running Windows 11 and I am having the same crashing issues. Every time I try to open a document, it starts to load and then crashes. I have uninstalled multiple times and have reset/repaired my creative cloud app but nothing is working. Could I get some assistance too please?

Thanks

Also having the same issue, thought it was just me! I've tried all the troubleshooting and none of it is working. Bit of a disappointment.

Having the same issue here.  I’ve tried restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling the software, using the previous version of the software, and updating drivers for both my Wacom screen as well as the Nvidia graphics drivers.  All to no avail.

I am having the same issue with the 4.4.0 version. I even updated to Windows 11 to see if it would help. Does anyone have a guess on when this will be resolved? I use this for work and am kinda stuck until this gets fixed.

Revert back to previous version rather than waiting for a resolution. That way you can continue to work.

I've been trying! It keeps telling me it fails, or try again.

Is this happening since the V4.4 update?
Seems to be an issue for a lot of people on Windows with the latest update.
