I don't know if it is something I have done or something that can be reversed but I opened my artwork today to find that it was all locked as photoshop layers. I can no longer see my layers as they're locked and uneditable. Is this a software error? Can something be done to reverse it?

Did you open the file in Photoshop at all in between using Fresco?
There are definitely some features in Ps which prevent the file working in Fresco after editing.
If you have not done anything with Ps in between then their is a weird internal action taking place.

Hi there, thanks for your response. Id've thought that would be the issue only I haven't edited it on photoshop. I honestly just saved the artwork for the night, and now here we are. I've checked that the app is up to date etc. so I'm stumped.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're facing with your artwork in Fresco. This kind of situation has been reported by some users before, and it might be related to certain layers being marked as animation layers when they aren't intended to be.
The scenario you described could occur if Fresco mistakenly identifies certain layers or groups as animation layers, even though they were not intended to be part of animations. When Fresco reads these layers and finds that they don't fit the criteria for animation layers, it might mistakenly convert them into Photoshop read-only layers.
To further assist you, it would be helpful if you could share the specific file that you're encountering this issue with.
Note: Please visit assets.adobe.com, then select the file you want to share, and ensure that "anyone with the link can view" & "Save a copy" is selected.
Additionally, could you let me know if you had any motion layers or animation-related elements in the file before you opened it in Photoshop?
By examining the file and understanding the context, I might be able to provide you with more specific guidance on how to potentially reverse this situation or prevent it from happening in the future.
Thank you for reaching out, and I'm here to help with any further information you can provide.
Best,
Anshul Saini
