Can you edit a layer?

after completing a layer is it possible to edit a shape in the layer. Eg the coulor or size?

Definitely, there's a move tool which allows you to reselect and resize a shape, you can also now use liquify to reshape it. To recolour you can select the fill bucket. Just make sure you're on the correct layer in order to select anything from that layer.

The move tool is the sixth tool from the top left. It looks like an arrowhead with a cross. If you want to move part of the contents of a layer, but not everything on the layer, you need to make a selection first. This tutorial should help.

Thank you for responding.  Could I ask you where the move tool is? I have looked at the various help videos but can't find it.
