Colour selected not the colour produced with pixel brush (Adobe Fresco)

I've been going through some exercises to get acquainted with the different Adobe Fresco brushes. After selecting a dark blue, the live brushes and vector brushes replicate it well but when I'm using the pixel brush, it's giving me a pale pink-grey colour despite the colour selected and in active use being dark blue. I'm very confused as to why this is happening. At first, I thought the flow was set to too low but even at its highest, I'm still getting a colour that isn't what I've selected.
