Drawing Aids Cannot be Resized

I give it a solid 98% of the time, when I activate a drawing aid, there is no chance I can resize it or rotate it. The handles never come up to have that option. Sometimes, if I go in and just fiddle with different app settings for a while, the handles will pop up, but even then it is usually after closing and restarting the program 4+ times.

Anyone know how to make these aids work properly every time. It is downright infuriating.

I have the same problem: During my drawing session today, the Stencil Editing Buttons in the Drawing Aids disappeared. I've tried restarting Fresco several times and using different tools, but nothing has made them reappear. As a result, I can no longer resize the drawing aids. Can anyone help me (us)?

I'm working on a Surface Laptop Studio 2 with the latest version of Fresco: 5.7.0. See the attached image.

I found a fix: I opened a new file and the drawing aids option had the option to resize. I then closed this new file and it works in my old file too!

But a new problem has arisen: the resizing options are there, but they don't always work and no longer disappear when the tool is activated!

I'm having the same issue, but only when I work with version 5.7.

I have 5.01 in my other computer and it works fine.

Any solution? I have tested the workarounds some people proposed but didn't work for me 😞

This post is a month old, but I am having the same issue. Toggling between different tools and brushes eventually makes the box to edit the shape pop back up but this wastes so much time and is not a sustainable work around. Is this bug going to be fixed?

i'm facing same issue with drawing aid not able to re-size. The stencil edit button shows but doesn't do anything on clicking. Button shows as if it is on edit mode but the editor points on the stencil/drawing aid don't show up for re-sizing.

Hello everyone, here is my problem in Fresco: the edit button of the circle tool doesn’t work anymore. It is impossible for me to adjust the size and shape of the circle. I uninstalled and reinstalled Fresco, without success. In advance, thank you for your help.

Hi @PapiPhilou I watched your video, and I thought maybe it might have something to do with the fact you are using a vector brush while I'm using pixel brushes for testing. But, I tried to duplicate this and still I'm unable to duplicate this on either iPad or Windows. For me, it works on both.

However, @Anubhav M I did notice a difference between iPad and Windows. When you toggle to stencil mode in iPad, the handles disappear and it's clear you are in stencil drawing mode. However, in Windows, the sizing handles remain visible in both stencil and sizing modes.

I'm also having the same issue. But have found a way to make it work. The bug is really random.

When I turn on drawing aids whatever mode it is in, it is 'stuck' in that mode - with handles or stencil mode. But if I try the following a few times I can eventually get the mode I need:

1. turn on drawing aid - can't change mode

2. change brush (vector to pixel or eraser for example)

3. turn drawing aid off and on again....sometimes you'll get handles back sometime not so repeat 1-3 until it works

4. But then you can't change handle mode to stencil. So need to repeat the process until i get it how you need.
