Exporting vector files

If I export a vector file to a thumb drive as a PSD (which Fresco will let me do), when I import the file back into Fresco will it still be vectorized? Does converting to a PSD automatically rasterize a file?

No, PSD can cope with vectors created in Fresco or Photoshop and now, even vectors brought in from Illustrator. The vector layers will be separate to the pixel layers. The only time the file will be full rasterized is if you merge all the layers into one, or flatten the image.

Are you talking about merging layers in Fresco? I’ve found that if all your
layers are vector, when you flatten the image it remains a vector. What I
do is delete the canvas layer. Create a new vector layer and fill it with
white. I’ve checked the images. They’re definitely vectorized. These are
the images I want to back up in PSD format on an external hard drive.

As @thejanebradbury said!
The only time when your files will be rasterised is that if you open the Fresco file to Illustrator (on Ipad or Desktop) and decide to open it again in Fresco (to clarify, if you keep things within illustrator and don't open again in Fresco, you keep the vectors)]. Better stay within the Fresco/Photoshop eco-system if you want to keep things all vector.

Ahh, I didn't know that about Fresco to Illustrator and back, but then I've not tried that. Thanks @Imaginerie

Thanks. I was asking about backing up vector files on an external hard
drive. I don’t even have Illustrator.
