Come on Karl, there's heaps of responses to this question.
Our answers won't change no matter how many times different people ask!

Majority of people who respond on the forums are not associated with Adobe so we can't answer that question.

Adobe doesn't announce release dates, so they can't be held accountable for not releasing an app or update on a specific date.

There are many, many different versions of Android app so it's a lot more difficult to create an app for that platform.

That "UserVoice" is a dead end. Almost 800 votes, lots of angry comments, not a word from Adobe.

I understand your frustration with Adobe's lack of Android compatibility in 2023. It can be disappointing when a widely used software company like Adobe doesn't keep up with the demands of the ever-evolving technology landscape. While I don't have access to real-time information beyond my last update in September 2021, I can suggest a few possible reasons for this situation and potential alternatives:

  1. Technical Challenges: Developing software for Android can be complex due to the wide range of devices, screen sizes, and operating system versions. Adobe might be working on ensuring a seamless experience across the Android ecosystem.

  2. Prioritization: Adobe may be prioritizing other features or platforms based on user demand or business considerations. They may have plans to expand to Android in the future.

  3. Feedback: Providing feedback through official Adobe channels or participating in user forums can help raise awareness about the demand for Android compatibility. Companies often take user feedback into account when making decisions about new features.

  4. Alternatives: In the meantime, consider using alternative software or apps that are available on the Android platform for your specific needs. There are many powerful mobile apps for creative tasks, depending on what you're trying to achieve.

  5. Stay Updated: Keep an eye on Adobe's official announcements and updates. They may release Android compatibility in future versions of their software.

Remember that software development can be a lengthy process, and companies like Adobe often have long-term roadmaps for product development. While it can be frustrating to wait, it's important to give them time to deliver a stable and functional Android-compatible solution.

Thanks for your elaborate speculations. My main point is this: "not a word from Adobe"

Speculations should not be necessary. If they actually care, why don't they just say how it is?

Like "nope, not gonna do it", or "working on it, done next year".

I bought a Samsung TabS9 to draw and discovered that Adobe Fresco doesn't work on Android, I was very disappointed, as Adobe's drawing programs work on both Android and iOS. Why don't you develop Fresco for Android? Are there any plans for Fresco to be developed for Android?

Hello,

Is Adobe Fresco coming to Android? If it is, are there any release dates yet or perhaps even a beta tester program?

Hi prubini87,

Thanks for your interest in Fresco. As of now Fresco is only available for iPad but we're working on developing the app for other platforms and devices. I'll definitely pass on your feedback to the product team.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Regards,

Sheena

I would love an Android version as well! Seems a shame ipad users have procreate and now there's another app that's exclusively iOS. Bummer.

Adobe favors Apple. Not Android.

It isn't ever coming and never will

Apple and Adobe both suck. Corporate bull, yet the support people always come acting like they care of have a say what their corporation does

I'm chiming in as an Android developer who has built complex Android apps for a living since past 8 years. From my past experience I have worked at companies that made a "deal" with Apple where new apps and features are released for iOS first. The apps and features are "allowed" to be released on Android 1-2 years after the iOS version is out. In return Apple gives discounts on Apple products. When I worked at such companies it would infuriate me that the Android users would leave bad reviews for the apps I'm working on, simply because I was not allowed to work on features that the iOS app already has. It would piss me off so much when I was finally allowed to work/release the new features on Android I made sure I make the UI and UX better than the iOS version. It was my mid finger to Apple and the unfair treatment to Android users.

This Fresco situation sounds pretty much like what I've seen before. Adobe has probably made a nice deal with Apple to receive new products on discount and in return they would ignore the Android users. Its really messed up.

It also seems like a bad deal for Adobe since they're getting all the flack, especially since it seems like most iPad artists talk about procreate and not fresco...

Brooo all of that for a device made for privileged spoiled rich people whose CS is as good as being served steak at a farm. iOS users don't deserve all of that privilege it's not even worth their mediocre and overpriced devices.

Not gonna lie, sketch being removed is the only reason I want fresco. If they're not gonna make fresco for Android at least keep adobe sketch on there.

Uservoice has tons of requests for Android support and Adobe doesn't even have the courtesy to respond to customer requests on whether Adobe intends to develop Fresco for Android or not.

I have the exact same problem! I have an Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite Tab and Adobe DRAW was the only reason why I gotten it in the first place. And since. Even though we all are a bit anxious about this, we're going to have to deal with it... While I've been waiting for it, I've been using a different drawing app called ibisPaint X in the meantime. It has a lot more features than Adobe Draw! I'd recommend it if you want to try it out.

Here's a link!
