Question

strange fragments after vector drawing export

Hello,

I created a vector drawing in Adobe Fresco and having an issue with my vector export. The drawing appears nice and clean within the app, as well as when exported as a JPG or PNG. However, when exporting as a PDF, strange fragments appear that are not visible in the application or the preview app. These fragments only become apparent when I open the drawing in Acrobat Reader or Adobe Illustrator. It seems to be related to the alpha channel, but I'm uncertain. It's quite frustrating.

  (drawing in Fresco app)

(strange fragments around the head and beside the legs in the PDF export)

Does anyone have a solution or know what to do?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello @bridget_3975,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing a link to the Fresco cloud document (https://adobe.ly/3XXJ7ZY) and the PDF file so I can check it with the team?

Note: When sharing the cloud document, please make the link public and enable the option to save a copy. To share the PDF file, please upload it to a file-sharing service like Google Drive or Dropbox and share a public link here.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi @ankez47221887,

Thank you for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're facing with strange fragments in your PDF export from Adobe Fresco.

To help us better understand and address the problem, could you please check the following:

  • Hidden Layers: Ensure that there are no hidden layers in your vector drawing. Hidden layers may not be visible within the app or during the preview, but they can affect the export. If there are hidden layers, try hiding them before exporting the PDF.

  • Exporting the Fresco Original File: If the issue persists, could you share the original Adobe Fresco file with us? This will enable us to investigate the problem more thoroughly.

To share the file, please follow these steps:

    • Ensure "Anyone with the link can view" & "Save a copy is selected."
    • Copy the file link and share it here or via DM with me

Once we have the additional information, we'll escalate the matter to our product team for further analysis. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and we're here to assist you in resolving this issue.

Best regards,

Anshul Saini

Hi,

I'm having the same issue. The PDF and drawings looks fine until you print it out. What was the solution to this issue?
Also addressing another issue. Sometimes when I export to PDF the bottoms layers shows on top by a dotted line or outline.
Thank you for your support.
