Vector brushes are not actually creating vectors? I put artwork into Illustrator & its blurry!

Question

When I open a vector that I created in Fresco (with only vector brushes), in Illustrator CS6, I convert it to objects obviously because I want it to be a vector. The images are blurry. They are not actual vectors. Do I need special brushes? Is it because of CS6?

How can I create vectors to upload into illustrator? Can someone please help me? Thank you!

I think Ty5on is on the right track. Did you export as a jpg, png or pdf?
If you export as a pdf you'll have cleaner lines when opened in Illustrator.

Personally I don't feel that Fresco is fully optimised for Illustrator, hopefully that changes and we see an ai export option in the future.

Have you viewed outlines while in Illustrator to be sure you are not seeing vector art?

Also, are you opening a vector file?

It is possible your preview settings in Illy are set wonky as well if you are able to see the outlines.

It is only my second-day using Fresco, but I'm guessing its one of those issues. Maybe you have to export as a certain file type for Illy to recognize the vector editability? Possibly pdf? Maybe read the documentation, that's usually the best answer. Good luck!
