activatieprobleem

Community Beginner ,
Mar 14, 2014 Mar 14, 2014

<email removed by mod - kglad>

Hi Lumpy6,

Welcome to Adobe Forum,

After verifying that you are using the correct serial number, if the issue is still there, you can try the following steps:

Kindly reset the host file:

Windows

  1. Choose Start > Run, type %systemroot% \system32\drivers\etc, and then press Enter.
  2. Right-click the hosts file and select Open. Select Notepad for the application to open the hosts file.
  3. Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
  4. Search the hosts file for entries that reference activate.adobe.com (for example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.
  5. Save and close the file.

Mac OS

Log in as an administrator to edit the hosts file in Mac OS.

In a Finder window, choose Go > Go To Folder.

Type /etc.

Select the hosts file and open it.

Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.

Search the hosts file for entries that reference activate.adobe.com (for example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.

Save and close the file.

Please let us know whetehr it worked.

Regards,

Rajshree

These processes are longer but user friendlier (I think) :

- Open Windows Explorer, go to

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\

- Copy and paste the 'HOSTS' file to create a copy.

- Right-click the original 'HOSTS' file and open it with Notepad

- Erase all lines containing the word 'adobe'

- Click on 'File' > 'Save as' and in the filename, delete the '.txt'

- Save the file on the Desktop

- Copy the file on the Desktop

- Paste and replace the HOSTS file in

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\

- Activate your product

- Open Finder. In 'Go' menu, select 'Go to'

- Type /etc and press Enter

- Copy and paste the 'HOSTS' file to create a copy.

- Right-click the original 'HOSTS' file and open it with TextEdit

- Erase all lines containing the word 'adobe'

- Click on 'File' > 'Save as' to save the file on the Desktop.

- On the Desktop, select HOSTS file and press CMD + i

- Check the filename to be 'HOSTS' without extension or quotation marks.

- Copy the file on the Desktop

- Paste and replace the HOSTS file in /etc

- Activate your product
