Adobe Creative Cloud is damaged or missing

Was glad to see others posting, thought I was going crazy.

PLEASE do not relocate or move these posts, this is a new issue.

I have had trouble installing Adobe CC Desktop App since it's inception. Everytime it updates I have to follow the steps of using the Adobe CC Cleaner tool and renaming the OOBE folders. Everytime.

However this time, nothing will work. I get everything from the "Adobe Creative Cloud, needed to resolve this problem, is missing or damaged" error (which I have never received before) to the installer just hanging at 86%.

I managed to get a few of my apps by completely erasing everything Adobe via the Cleaner Tool and then manually installing an App from the catalog. This does install the app but then installs Creative Cloud which fails as described as when trying any other method to install.

Something else is happening here.

There were some massive Windows Updates.

Also Adobe Updater started opening multiple instances of itself which actually takes focus off of your current window so you cant do things like type into a search bar or use the calculator etc. You can watch it starting and stopping in Task Manager.

I also did tell the Cloud Cleaner Tool to zap everything at some point during my 5 hour attempts at reinstalling CC.

Any trust that you can extend that I am used to having to reinstall CC and rename folders all the time, and that I have researched and attempted every fix available on these forums and beyond, will be most appreciated when I ask if there are any new thoughts on how to resolve this slightly differing case.

Thanks.

EDIT:

I actually cant launch my apps that I individually manually downloaded (along with a failed CC each time) because it yells and says I need "Adobe Application Manager" which I am guessing is outdated messaging and it means CC Desktop.

It also took me 10 minutes to type this response because adobe updater keeps launching and closing in the background and pulling focus off of this forum box so i have to keep re-clicking into the box to type.

EDIT EDIT:

I tried another install based on photoshop screaming at me that CC had to be running. It failed per the norm. I decided to try to launch photoshop anyway. This time it popped the licensing agreement that I signed years ago. Then it launched.

So I decided to close it and try to launch the CC Desktop app that failed for the 8th time and it actually popped and said I had been signed out and needed to sign in and it appears to be working.

Also the updater opening and closing in my task manager has stopped and the focus issue appears to be gone, my cursor stays put and adobe doesnt pull me out of my current window.

So wonky for a fortune 500 guys. I'll never understand.

I'll update this post with any aftermath issues.

As an update and "actual correct answer" - this problem was never resolved or explained by Adobe, but was finally owned up to. *Sigh*

Cadillacula I am sorry that you are facing difficulties.  The behavior you describe does not sound typically. Is your installed security software up to date?  Have you had installation on Windows reviewed for malware or viruses?

After running the obligatory Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems follow the following steps if you follow me.

#1) There are two folders that are not mentioned in any of the forums that need to be blown away here:

• Program files x86/common files/adobe/SL Cache

• Program Data/adobe/SL Store

#2) There is a secret tool that adobe coders banged out when they realized they had a problem with no permanent fix. This would be a secret exe buried here:

• Limited access error in Creative Cloud for desktop app

Please note you will have to do these steps every single time Adobe pushes an update (Awesome!), but it will get you up and limping until they smash it once again.

Rinse repeat.
