Application Error: Exception EAccessViolation in module

I have a paid subscription of the Adobe CS6 design and web premium package, which is experiencing problems with updating via Application manager. So I gathered I'll download it and instal again (my disk is not working).

Now when trying to reinstall, i get the following error message:

Application Error:

Exception EAccessViolation in module

DesignWebPremium_CS6_LS16.exe at 001B836.

Access violation at address 0041B836 in module

'DesignWebPremium_CS6_LS16.exe'.Read of address 00000009.

It also tells me I need to check the space on my computer and then goes ahead to tell me I need to download the package again.

I'm too afraid to uninstall my current Design and web package as I'm not sure if this file is corrupt or not? I'm however doubting that this should be a problem when extracting the files.

Any advice please!

Dirk

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. It pretty much means what it says - you have problems with your harddrive. Checking these things might help:
