Grab Photoshop and CS2 For Absolutely Free, Right Now
Adobe’s giving us all a late Christmas present. You can grab yourself a free, legitimate copy of Photoshop and the rest of the Creative Suite 2, right now, direct from Adobe. No catch.
Well, unless you think having an Adobe account is a catch. Anyway, apparently Adobe’s tired of keeping the activation servers running to support legitimate installs of the 10-year-old CS2, so it’s decided to just give it away. Sounds great to me.
Handy if all you need is a quick image editor, Photoshop CS2 will still do all the basic things, just not the new fancy smart ‘content aware‘ stuff. Free’s free, so get over to Adobe.com and get downloading. [Adobe via Twitter]
Update: Adobe’s suffering server issues with the sheer number of people trying to download CS2 — it’s effectively being DDoS — so give it a while.

Download Adobe CS2 Applications ... For Free

If you have a digital creative streak but your budget doesn’t extend far enough to buy Adobe’s Creative Suite applications, this is for you. Adobe have made available an array of applications from its Creative Suite 2 bundle — for free.
Along with the ever-popular Photoshop CS2 are applications such as Premiere Pro CS2, InDesign CS2, and Illustrator CS2. If you want the whole bundle, the entire Creative Suite 2 is also available for download.
CS2 is not new by any standards — it was first released in April 2005 — but it’s still a fantastic offer and capable of some serious work. And when the cost is just the time it takes to download it, it’s a real bargain.
Download available here, with Windows and OS X versions available.
Can you coment it ? is it realy free for all ?

"On behalf of Adobe Systems Incorporated ...
You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!
What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for existing licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don't require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available. (Special serial numbers are provided on the page for each product download.) See .
You are only legally entitled to download and install with that serial number if you have a valid license to the product!

"Special serial numbers that work with these downloads are included on the download page.
However, please note that you are only legally entitled to download and install with that serial number if you already have a valid license to the product!

Effective December 13, Adobe disabled the activation server for CS2 products and Acrobat 7 because of a technical glitch. These products were released over 7 years ago and do not run on many modern operating systems. But to ensure that any customers activating those old versions can continue to use their software, we issued a serial number directly to those customers. While this might be interpreted as Adobe giving away software for free, we did it to help our customers.

what legal basis of this program, which I have, I downloaded Registered.
I need to remove it, or you can continue to use for free.
If I can continue to enjoy for free then what legal basis for free use.

EULA (displayed during installation): "2. Software License. If you obtained the Software from Adobe or one of its authorized licensees and as long as you comply with the terms of this agreement, Adobe grants you a non-exclusive license to use the Software in the manner and for the purposes described in the Documentation, as further set forth below."
Using software and serial numbers published at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/index.html perfectly matches "obtained from Adobe", isn't it? I didn't notice any extra conditions or limitations there.
CS2 is old and unsupported version years behind latest releases, so suppose Adobe doesn't care much - those who could earn some money using it should be able to afford much more powerful CS6 (monthly subscription like $20 for single app, or $50 for full suite).

I wonder how a lawyer and judge would "interpret" the language of this accidental giveaway?
