I tried to install the CC desktop application tonoight and receive the following errors when trying to run the .exe :
CreativeCloudSet-up.exe bad image
C:\\ProgramFiles (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop\Common\Core\adobepim.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or contains an error.Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor support. Error status 0xc000012f.
An administrator permission prompt still pops up asking if I want to install once I click okay on this box. If I click the administrator prompt "Allow" then the original error reappears.
The application appears to install after this, but the application will not actually run afterwards. I tried uninstalling the application, but it does not uninstall, and I tried using the uninstall tool after renaming the AAMUpdaterInventory and OOBE directories.
The uninstaller says it completed with errors, but the log file is completely blank.
I need to know where else to look or any other files that need to be manually removed or reinstalled.

Thank you for the reply. I reset the folder permissions as stated in the second link provided, but the forum replies on the first link didn't really address my specific issue. Regarless, I reinstalled Microsoft C++ redistributable as one of the suggestions for another error to see if it helped, but it did not. the AdobePIM.dll error is still rearing its ugly head.
