Community Beginner ,
Nov 07, 2015 Nov 07, 2015

Lost my CS2 programs when Adobe terminated their server, was allowed to download replacements, but when trying to install, I hit a wall on disc 1, when it says to insert disc 2, can not get past this, even though all disc are in same place on computer, program files/Adobe. Please help! Submitted a support ticket days ago and have not heard back.

Yep Activation server is no longer available for CS 2  : you will need to install using download setup files.

Error: "Activation Server Unavailable" | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3

Sorry for the delayed response.

Can you please , mention the location where the Creative Suite is getting installed ?

Also let me know the option you are getting after double clicking on Disk 2. Does the Destination path is set to same installation location which was selected for Disk 1 earlier?  If not change it and check.

Welcome to the adobe stonewall where older versions are not supported because that cash cow has sailed. I too, have a legit copy of CS2 and Adobe is useless at supporting it. Even a legit user is with disc cannot use it because the Activation Server was shutdown and no activation support is available. MY ADVISE IS TO CHANGE TO ANOTHER BRAND OF SOFTWARE THAT DOESN'T STONEWALL USERS.

How exactly were you able to get the installation to work? I am still being stalled at "Insert Disk 2" and I have tried all suggestions. Please advise. Thanks!

Hi, the location that each disc defaults to is C:\Creative Suite CS2, and I am changing the destination to C:Program Files/Adobe. Is that incorrect? Should I install to the default C:\Creative Suite CS2 ?

Yes, have not had any other problems installing anything, although it has been a while since I added anything to this computer. I downloaded all files again, but ran into more problems. I followed all the instructions provided by Adobe carefully in uninstalling and installing, unfortunately found I can not delete Program Files/Adobe Photoshop CS2/Required/ADMU13 (font file) so can not delete the Photoshop folder and get the error that Photoshop is already installed, so can not install Photoshop again, although that is the only file in the folder. And I still get the same error regarding disc 2 when trying to install. I am very concerned as I submitted a support ticket before coming here with no reply so far, and the support website says it will no longer be accessible after Nov. 19. I really don't know what to do at this point. Thanks for your help though!

Launch Task Manager and end all Adobe related processes , then instead of deleting , try renaming Adobe Photoshop CS 2 folder to Old-Adobe Photoshop CS 2 and check.

Also you may run Microsoft Fix it tool , and if present remove Photoshop CS 2. it will detect if there are any remnants of Photoshop CS 2 left on computer.

Becky , will do one thing , simply download Photoshop CS 2 setup file and try to install instead of complete Creative Suite.

I know it is bit confusing to provide instructions in cases like this without visualization , even you had followed all steps exactly as per mentioned the link I provided earlier, so we will try with Individual installation once instead of Suite.

I am sorry . Adobe Support does not provide download and installation support for older version Adobe apps like CS 5 , CS 4...

That's okay,  but you will certainly get help on here by members and Adobe Staff as well.
