Currently, I am unable to boot my Toshiba laptop correctly. I think it is a hard drive problem. I am afraid of trying any recovery options because I don't know what it will do for the Adobe CS4 software I have installed on there. All the recovery options say they will erase the C:Drive.
I want to know if I am able to replace the hard drive, will I be able to reinstall my CS4 software on the same computer?
I have the CDs. but it is the student version. I am still a student, but I need it more to open old files, which I don't think will open on Adobe CC now. What do you do for old files?
I had previously installed CS4 on an old computer before replacing it with this Toshiba. I don't remember for sure whether I was able to deactivate it on there, but I think it was. Is there anyway to find out what computer I have the software active on?
Also, if I end up getting a new computer, will the CS4 work on Windows 8 and will I be able to deactivate on the old computer so I can put it on the new one?
Any help is appreciated as I don't know what to do right now and I want to resolve this by next semester in a few weeks. All the discussions revolve around calling support, but is that the only way?

I did follow the instructions above and I have the option for Chat or Forum. Obviously the forum is not helping me that much, but I don't know if Chat will help.
I got a private message to give them my phone number and they will call me, so that is what I am going with. Unfortunately, I just missed the call, but I think they will call back.
This issue is still unresolved for me.

I just read about the message about fraudulent Skype help from Adobe. I think I gave them my number and I shouldn't have. I really wish that message had been more clear.
