I'm running CS5.1. Had to wipe my hard drive and reinstall from backup. Now Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator won't open. "Configuration Error 6. Please uninstall and reinstall the product" So how do I do that exactly?

Adobe application have to installed... backup installations won't normally work. If you have a Windows machine then uninstall thru the Control Panel. If it's a Mac try to find out how to uninstall properly (I don't know). Then use the CS Cleaner Tool to helkp clean up remnanats that might interfere with installation.
