Indesign CC still asks for Serial Number

Community Beginner ,

Hi,

I'm on Day 2 of attempting to install Creative Cloud and not enjoying the problems I'm having.

Firstly, am I right in thinking that I can't open a private, written support ticket with Adobe anymore?

My problem is that InDesign CC asks for a serial number when I run it after Creative Cloud installation.

I've attempted to follow the advice here:

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1234635

1. I'm not having problems reaching an activation server

2. My billing address is correct and my payment information is correct

3. When I log into creative cloud in a clean cache web browser I am not asked my date of birth

I have been able to install (and open) Adobe Acrobat Pro and Bridge under CC – InDesign is the third app I tried.

If any Adobe STAFF would like to suggest a next step, I would be grateful.

Thx, Christian

My mistake - i WAS having problems reaching an activation server.

To check, visit

https://lm.licenses.adobe.com/aents/aents/v1/getentitlement

It should give a message "Welcome to Adobe...".

Thanks to Priyank for qucik advice and instructions via email!

Hi,

I suppose you have installed Creative Cloud Desktop App, or Latest Adobe Application Manager (http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773).

You can also try following steps:

  1. Launch the product
  2. On Trial Screen click on License this software
  3. On Sign in Screen, click on “Not My Adobe ID” (if displayed), else click on signin (do this even if it shows a valid ID).
  4. Sign in with your Adobe Id
  5. Software should now be lincensed.

Can you please share your adobeID and mail oobelib.log and amt3.log from %temp% on Windows, or /tmp in Mac, if it is still not working to priyjain@adobe.com

Priyank

Thanks for your prompt reply

I have installed CC Desktop and Latest AAM

It was Step 3 of your suggestions that actually got Acrobat Pro working for me yesterday, but the same approach didn't work for InDesign

I'll go and find those logs for you.

Cheers

Christian
