Install error 205!

Okay, I know this is common. I've read EVERY thread about the issue and still no fix. I'm currently paying monthly for a program that wont install!

I keep getting the Error Code:205

Maybe theres a way to download the FULL program so that it doesnt need to download more on the install?

I've tried all of the following :

- Turning off firewall

- deleting OOBE

- creating a new user

- Cleaner tool

- creating a vpn

- checked my host file for anything adobe related

- connecting to a lan cord

- installing in safe mode with network

- running installer with xp service pack 1,2 & 3

- downloading an exe file from my mac and bringing it to my pc. ALL FAILED!

Any help out there?!

Philmitch I am curious how did you create a VPN?  Can you provide more details regarding this step?   You also have indicated that you are using Windows XP is this correct?  If so then what Adobe software or service are you trying to download and install?

Finally Error 205 indicates the downloads are being corrupted and the validation of the downloaded files are failing.  You can find more details at Error downloading Creative Cloud applications - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/error-downloading-cc-apps.html.

I used an app. Its called SoftEther. You download it and just set it up. The site offers details if you want to try it.

I am actually using windows 7. I've tried all options though.
