I purchased Acrobat X standard and the disk came in the mail. I have an HP PC and operate on Office 365/ Windows 8. At first it would not download because I was on a free trial for Acrobat DC. I removed it then tried to re-install the disk I ordered. Installed fine through most and then this error popped up: Data Error(cyclic redundancy check)

Thank you. I did. It turns out that Software Mania sold me an expired disk!
Amazon is bakcing me up and I am getting a refund but hours of wasted time. Thanks for your help!

did you uninstall acrobat dc using the uninstaller? if not, reinstall it (to install the uninstaller), then properly uninstall it.
run the cleaner, Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs
then restart your computer and copy your acrobat x installation files from your disk to a desktop directory. install from the desktop directory.
