Updating Illustrator stuck at 40%

I left the cloud updating software all day and night yesterday it is stuck at 40%. No errors. Windows 7. Any clues why I cannot use Adobe Software? The direct download worked flawlessly up until recently.

I left it over the weekend. It took around 24hrs to update the software.
