P: Bring back the ability of Enhance to run in the background. (LrC)

I just updated to Lightroom Classic 14.4 and although I do like the fact that I can Denoise without creating a DNG file, I still would like the option to select a series of images and menu: Photo>Enhance... to let it create dngs in the background which enables me to work on other images while it;s doing those. Currently, in 14.4 it takes a long time, especially if I have multiple images that I am denoising and I cannot do anything elese while it's doing that process. Is there still a way possible to do it the old previous way of creating a DNG Denoised file? Seems like an oversight when implementing this new way and slows down my whole workflow.

Hello everyone! Why does the "AI Settings Update" tool now perform its work in a separate open window? This does not allow other photos to be processed at the same time. In previous versions, when this process was performed hidden - this was better.

Performing enhance features without having to generate a DNG is a wonderful improvement and since it's introduction I find I'm using those features more and more.  Please do not go back to the old cumbsersome method.  If someone truly desires a scad of DNG/'s cluttering up their disk drive they can export the result as a DNG.

However, I do agree with other sentiments that there is a need to be able to batch process enhance features in the background.  I haven't tried "auto sync" or "copy settings" which would satisfy the batch requirement but I don't believe will satisfy the background issue.

while i love that i can now denoise in the details tab i would also like to suggest that you add back the bulk enhance and also leaving it in the deatils tab so we can still easily change the amount that was enhanced just a suggestion it would be a great addition when working in harsh lighting and having to fix a ton in post production

Can we please revert the updated AI noise reduction update? Lightroom has become almost un usable now. Instead of it being a simple process , it's not turned into a 5-6 part (piece by piece) endeavor. Please revert this newest update.

Is there a way to keep the former Denoise Version with the dmg file or use the former LrC and when needed the newer version on a Mac? The former Denoise worked by far better for me. The image was much more crispy and not mushy. Any ideas?

Wow, two typos in one title. It should have been: LrC Denoise not as good as former with dmg file?

In the new update the AI denoise feature no longer works as a background task when applying it to multiple images as a batch process in version 14.4

The whole process is a lot clunkier now and blocks lightroom from doing anything else in the meantime for a long time.

In previous version, you could select the images, press enhance and then it will apply it to all in the background.

Now I have to do it manually for one image, wait for it to apply and then sync the settings across all images after which it will block me form using lightroom until it's complete.

This change makes the process unbearable and makes it only possible for me to do it at night when I don't need to use lightroom. This needs to be fixed asap.

Help. After new update I can no longer work on editing images while denoise is working. I am a sports photographer and denoise all images (100's). This was no problem before but now while one image is applying denoise it locks you from doing anything else. This is adding hours to my editing time. I like that I can bulk denoise through syncing now and love that it doesnt change the name of the file to enhanced (hate that clients see that) but now I can no longer see from the quickview thumbnails whether an image has already had denoise applied or not.  Am I missing something?

It´s really pain, on my computer I have to denoise before I can choose eg. 60 %, so I have to denoise on pre-selected value, then I can move to 60, 20,... Then I have to copy and paste to all images. AND... then there´s after x minutes againg this AI SYNC pain procedure, image by image 😞

Help.  I use denoise on hundreds of images (sports photographer) and until yesterday I was able to continue editing other images while denoise was running on previous image.  I can no longer do that.  This is adding hours to my editing time.  Surely there is a solution to this.

I don't know why the sudden change to including the enhance feautre in the edit panel, but it is the worst change to come out to date. Previously, you could enhance all photos at once and just have to wait a (long) while. Now, you have to individually enhance each photo and it takes 4x longer than the already long process. Change it back to the way it was.

I'm editing a wedding at the moment and denoising 135 images takes 58 minutes! It's insane, yes?

On my old 10 year old mac and the last version of Lightroom, it took, I dunno, 15 minutes?
