Hello,

Latest Beta Build 29.7.14 is now available in CCD. We have below features in this build:

  • Snap to grid enhancements:
Snap to grid is now more powerful than ever. Enhancements include :
  1. Show visual affordance when an object is snapped to the grid
  2. Ability to snap to other objects when ‘snap to grid’ is ON

  • Snap to rotated objects:
If an object is rotated, other objects would now snap to it

  • Snap to last location:
We are providing a new control to turn ON/OFF objects snapping to its last location. In many scenarios, object snapping to itself can be a bit noisy, this button gives you the power to turn it OFF.

  • Alignment guides now show up correctly at different zoom levels:
At certain zoom levels, when an object is partially visible the alignment guides would sometime won't show up. With this change we are making sure that the alignment guides are visible at all zoom levels whether an object is fully or partially visible.

  • Distance guides and Spacing guides UI improvements:
The position of the Spacing guides are now dynamic to the object position.
We have also included a background color to the distance guides values for better visibility.

  • Parallel and angular guides are now are a part of alignment guides:
If you turn off alignment guides, the parallel and the angular guides will also turn off thereby giving you the ability to control the visibility of various alignment guides.
How to use : You can access the alignment guides control from the smartguide section of the preference panel.

  • Instantly Create and Duplicate Artboards:
Speed up your workflow with effortless artboard management. Whether you’re expanding your canvas or replicating a layout, it only takes a click.
    How to Use:
Create a new artboard: Click the plus icon on any edge of your current artboard to add a new one with matching dimensions.
Duplicate an artboard: Option (Mac) / Alt (Windows) + Click the plus icon to instantly copy your current artboard-contents included.
Known issue: Edge plus button appears for adjacent artboard if user zooms-out

  • Improved Active Artboard Highlighting:
We have made enhancements to clearly show which artboard is currently active on the canvas. Navigating your designs is now more intuitive and seamless than ever!
