in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

The newest version of the Mac OS is Sonoma which is version 14.x. The latest version of Illustrator is 28.x. The latest version of WIndows is WIndows 11. The numbers you've cited 17.1.2 and Illustrator 3.0.5 don't make sense. Please give complete details as to what operating system and what version of Illustrator you are using.

The iPad OS is now at version 17.1.2. Adobe Illustrator on the iPad is at version 3.0.5. That kind of surprises me; I assumed it would have the same version number as the desktop version.

What model of iPad are you running? I can't replicate the crash hovering the cursor over (or pressing) the Adobe logo on the upper left corner (in the app's main home screen). I just updated my iPad's OS earlier today. I'd have to do some testing to see how well it performs on my now-aging iPad Pro.

You currently really do not want to update the iPad OS to 17.

I have a 2nd gen iPad with an A-series CPU. I'm not seeing the kinds of crashes others are describing. I wonder if the crashes are happening mostly with newer iPad models with M-series CPUs.
