A1 printing size

Can I change the size of adobe illustrator to A1? I want to be able to print in that size and I prefer Illustrator to Photoshop.

You mean change the document size? Select the artboard tool and then enter your preferred size.

Thanks. I do know to change the document size. But I am wondering why I can have it as big as A1 in Illustrator as I can in Photoshop.
