Question

Adobe Fonts Not Loading on Restart

I'm absolutely over fonts not loading after restarting my computer. This happens every single time I restart my computer or Illustrator. It only happens with Adobe fonts (Montserrat, Europa., etc). I've gone into cloud to check my fonts and they are not there. It takes me going in and out 10+ times to get the fonts to sync and show up without error. Any tips? This is absolutely riduclous.

Hi @brittneyv20955540,

That definitely sounds frustrating, and I'm really sorry you're having to deal with this every time you restart.

To better understand what's going wrong, could you let us know the version of Illustrator you're using and your operating system details? Also, are you seeing any specific error messages when the fonts fail to load, or do they simply not appear? Also, is this limited to Illustrator or can see in other Creative Cloud apps like InDesign, etc?

Please try sigining out and back in to the Creative Cloud Desktop app and then test the issue. Also, if the issue persists, please reset the font cache following this link and update if it resolves the issue: https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/kb/troubleshoot-fonts-illustrator-indesign.html

Looking forward to your update.

hank you! Using a PC, windows 11. Illustrator version 29.5.1.

The fonts simply do not appear. They show up as the pink type error and do not appear in the list of fonts.

It only happens after restarting my computer  so I'll try resetting the font cache next time. Signing in and out hasn't worked before. Will let you know here.

Thank you for sharing the information. Please let us know if it works after resetting the font cache. Please also tell us if the issue appears only with the Illustrator app or with any other Adobe app like Photoshop or InDesign.  We look forward to your response.

Thanks,

Harshika
