When was the last time you rebooted the computer? This clears the clipboard.

Software that messes with the clipboard doesn't need to be its own application. It can be built into other apps. Such as Teamviewer or other screensharing software. They have options so that users in a call can share a clipboard.

Also: I'm seeing you are running Chrome. Possibly with lots of extensions. Chrome is known for wrecking all sorts of workflows, because Google just doesn't care.

Yeah, lately Chrome has been utterly terrible. I'm using Firefox instead. A lot time ago Firefox really stank. It took forever to start up. So started using Chrome. Now Chrome is terrible. I just don't understand how a web browser can be such a resource hog, even on systems with lots of RAM and CPU/GPU "horsepower." My guess is Google has allowed Chrome's code to turn into a complete rat's nest.
