Question

Adobe Illustrator CS5 on Mac OS El Capitan Vers. 10.11.3

Hej guys,

I do have a massive problem,

Everytime I use Illustrator and just Illustrator, Ps and In don't have these issues, the application just crashes. Either it is when I want to save something or change a font, any font. Then I searched the internet for solutions and tried to rename the CS5ServiceManager in the library to CS5ServiceManager.bak. But unfortunately it didn't work as I hoped it would.

Now I cannot see the fonts at all once I go through the Character dialog on the right hand side of the Tool bar.

If I go through the top tool bar I do see the names of the fonts but no preview.

What can I do so Illustrator is secure again?

It happens on 2 seperate comps! so it's on my MacBook Air and my iMac.

Please help me need to design some stuff and it is really hard to do it without this program.

Cheers guys.

Prior to updating your OS is good practice to check your important applications will be compatible, especially when you create such a wide gap between the last time CS5 was updated and your OS release date.

System requirements | Adobe Illustrator

You can narrow the gap by putting on the latest patch

CS5 is not compatible with El Capitan.

Some got it to run, some didn't.

For the fonts, try and in the systems preferences in "Accessibility" uncheck the transparency option.

For everything else, please search this forum. Many issues have been discussed months ago. You might consider downgrading the system anyway.
