I had the old Creative Suite on my computer and now I just downloaded part of it using this link Download Adobe Acrobat 7 and Adobe Creative Suite 2 products. I clicked on the link for the 1st disc, after that installed, I went on w/the second link for disc2 and so on. After all were installed, I saw the icon for Creative Suite and clicked on it. It was asking me to insert disc 2 to continue. I already downloaded all from the links but somehow even though the system indicated that I had all three installed, I have only photoshop and it's elements, no Illustrator. How do I get Illustrator?

Which system?
You downloaded it from the Adobe website?

Regina,
If we are talking CS2, the right download page is here, for those with legal ownership:
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.html
Note: If you have the CS2 Premium Suite version, you will have to download the Standard, and then download Acrobat and GoLive separately under their own replacement serial numbers.
GoLive 9 can be downloaded with the relevant link in the first post by Herbert here:

Thank you for your note. I do have legal ownership. I uninstalled the software from my control panel and any icons I have on my pc. However, when I start installing the 1st disk, I get this. I don't know where else the program would be if it's uninstalled. Please let me know.

Did you uninstall first?
Did you download the software from the Adobe server or somewhere else?

I'm working on installing the replacement Adobe Creative Suite CS2 supplied by Adobe -

The system is asking me now to insert disk 2 to continue the download. How to proceed?

Which system is this?
Did you first download all the disks before you started any installation process?
Did you follow Jacob's advice of using the Standard version?
CS2 was about hundred years ago, so it might be difficult to find anyone who has experience on how to use this installation.

I'm using Windows 7 Professional
I did download the Standard version; all the discs but as I mentioned in previous note, after I downloaded the discs, I saw this. I understand CS2 is very old, but I did pay for it so I need the replacement; if it's out there, shouldn't I be able to download?

Officially CS2 is end of life.
The people in this forum (and this includes me) are 90% not Adobe staff. We are just users as you are.
I have never installed that thing on a PC.
So don't know how it is supposed to work.
Can you first mount all the disks and then launch the installer?
Is there a read me file and did you read it?
This is the Read Me:

Thank you for your note. Well, as I said, I paid for this program when I was a student and would like to communicate w/an Adobe person. I understand that CS2 is at the end of like but why would a replacement be out there, and I'm getting the link from Adobe, if there's no way to download it? Is there an Adobe person who I could communicate with?

Hello, I found the instructions on what to do when the system keeps asking to insert a disc, which I don't have. I have no idea how to proceed but my brother in law might. Thank you.

Regina,
However, when I start installing the 1st disk, I get this.
The download page should give you no discs, and it should all work with just files (in one go).
Is your Windows 7 32 or 64 bits?
CS2 is 32 bits, so if you have 64 bits, I believe you may need to install/run CS2 in XP Mode within (a) Virtual Machine.

It's 32 bits. It's weird, on one side the system tells me that all the discs are installed but on the other side it's also telling me I need to insert discs. So I wind up not getting the software in discs 2 and 3. How to proceed?

Regina,
I believe it will be worth showing this thread to your brother in law.

Monika, I want to apologize for venting my frustration out on you. I've just been trying to get this thing done for weeks and sometimes I feel like I'm spinning my wheels.

It's OK.
If your brother in law can come to your place to help you, that might actually be a good idea.
