Is there a reliable means of obtaining the installation folder for Adobe Illustrator in Windows? This seems to change with each version and depends on whether a new install is done or an update is performed.
My reason for asking is that we've developed a hybrid plugin and a custom MSI installer for it. Till now we were able to use a pre-assumption that Adobe is always installed in a fixed location (%ProgramFiles%\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC 2015), but this has changed with the latest release. Now AI is installed in the same folder if updating, or in %ProgramFiles%\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CC2015.3\.
Are there any registry keys which one could access?
