Hi, I use adobe illustrator for studies ends, and it is lagging, Before I thought that was because the number of study slides that I was with, but then when I restart my notebook, it started to be normal for some time when I open the application, but after a certain ammount of time it started to lag again, specifically more when I delete letters.
Is there something I can do to remove this lag completely?

I understand how frustrating lagging can be, especially when you’re working on important studies. Could you please share your system specifications and the version of Illustrator you’re using? Also, does this issue happen with a specific file or with all files? Finally, where is the file saved—locally on your notebook or on a network drive? This information will help us troubleshoot the lag you’re experiencing. Thank you!
Best,

I'm sorry, I've just updated, I don't remember exactly what version was, but it was the last one before the new one. I got a notebook, with 110gb disk space free, and rtx 2060 and intel core i7 9th gen

32gb of ram, I got a lot of fonts, but they're all in fontbase, I dont't install it in my pc, and I don't run it for illustrator, very rarely, I use more for photoshop. I would use it in illustrator if I was doing some project, but for this time I'm using it for study purposes.

Font management application can be kind of flaky at times. Are the fonts you're using installed directly into the Windows Fonts folder or are they only referenced by FontBase? I'm not familiar with using that application, but am familiar with some other rival font management apps. I have pretty mixed feelings about them.

Fontbase only! I didn't use that some time ago, but 2 design courses I did recommended, so I started to use.

One step I would recommend is doing an "audit" of the font collection that FontBase is managing. Not all fonts are created equal. Generally speaking, high quality fonts from commercial type foundries tend to perform more smoothly than fonts created by an amateur who uploaded them to a free fonts web site.
Font files that contain clip art images as glyphs can perform really badly with font management software. If the font menu is actively creating preview images of the font's glyphs those clip art fonts can cause big lags or even momentary hangs of the application when scrolling thru the font menu. I would have any such fonts removed from a font manager's active list and only install such fonts in the operating system only one at a time as needed.

Honestly, for a document around 90 pages long, containing only text-based objects, I wouldn't use Illustrator for that purpose. I would opt for InDesign. That application is better for handling long documents.
