Hi,
I have in the latest adobe Illustrator (26.5), when you click on an object convert it to 3D then right click to export as selection the obj process works fine. However when you import the obj into Dimensions or Stager for example the pieces of obj has scattered everywhere and not looking like the original illustrator export.
In previous versions the obj export looked exactly like the original Illustrator file so there is obviously a new bug causing the export error.
Operating system is Mac OS Monterey 12.5.1

Make a compound path out of these elements. Then apply the 3D effect. Then export.

OP, did this work for you? I have tried dozens of ways of grouping, making compound shapes or paths, every pathfinder option, and nothing works. It seems like there must be a way but I'm at my wits' end. It's a mildly complex logo, I didn't create it (supplied by client), but I've tidied it up and thrown every trick in my book at it. Has anyone worked out the answer? Help!

This also did not work for me. It's not a complicated logo either. Help?

Please upload a demo file that displays the issue.

I can't share due to an NDA. However, I sent it over to a coworker and it worked for them because they updated their Illustrator. I can't update yet because I'm using an Esko plug-in that isn't compatible with the latest version of Illustrator.
Thanks!

OK, so the issue is solved for you?
I did not ask for the original file. Just for a file that displays the issue.

Hope so you're doing well, this issue might be caused by a bug in the latest version of Adobe Illustrator. You can try exporting the file in a different format, such as an SVG or EPS, and see if that resolves the issue. Alternatively, you can try exporting the file to an earlier version of Illustrator and see if the issue persists. If the issue persists, you can contact Adobe support for further assistance in resolving the issue.
Did you even read the question or are you a bot?
