Adobe removed the ability to re-link multiple things at once in Illustrator.

I have Illustrator template files I set up where PDFs are precisely placed and are swapped out week to week. I would just have to move where the original .PDF file was linked from and once Adobe Illustrator couldn't find it's original location, it would ask me if I would like to "Replace" "Ignore" or "Ignore All" with a checkbox to "Apply to All" (photo attached from another thread)

For some reason they've removed the "Apply to All" function in the update 4 days ago and now each instance has to be manually relinked 1-by-1.

What is the reasoning behind this?

Is there a workaround already implemented that I'm unaware of?

Correct answer Ton Frederiks

Revisiting this topic because Adobe again removed this in the most recent Illustrator update. Downgrading to 28.4.1 returns the needed "Apply to All" feature.

Commenting to express that the "Apply to All" option for updating linked files is a critical feature that needs to be preserved in final releases - requesting that Adobe ensures this will be restored. Thank you.

And it will return again, see:

It has already been said in this forum that it will return.

I was told they removed it in the latest version. hoping it comes back soon. The work around for now is that it is in the bata version

Thanks for your reply! I'm going to open the beta version now and give it a try!

Unfortunately I was already running the latest Illustrator update, which includes the Beta features like Generative Recolor (beta) etc. The "Apply to All" / "Replace All" function is still missing.
