Ai 2020 24.1.1 Unwanted Workspace Reset

 Hey there,

 Ever since i updated Ai, it keeps reseting - by reseting i mean completely clearing- whole workspace every time i close the program. Presaved automatic workspace preferences( such as Essesntials, Layout etc.) won't work even if it is active to click and the "Reset" "New Workspace" and "Manage Worksapces..." options are completely inactive (grey). It is very annoying since i'm working on Ai everyday, i open the program and all i can see is the document window. I searched a bit but couldn't find a matching issue, i kindly request help.
