Ai and Ps using alot of memory

I use Illustrator and Photoshop alot, but lately I've been having problems with both programs using more and more memory up to the point that I'm almost out of memory.

Illustrator: 28.6 

Photoshop: 25.11.0

PC, Windows 10 ver 10.0 19045, 64Gb ram.

This is how much memory they use after a few hours of work. Note that I have no files open in either programs. It's just both programs alone.

After I close both programs a lot of my memory is freed up again.

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the details. I can imagine how frustrating it must be to see Illustrator and Photoshop consuming so much memory, especially when you’re not even working on any files.

This behavior is definitely unusual. Would you mind trying a clean reinstall of both programs using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool? This might help resolve the issue. Then, reinstall both programs from the Creative Cloud app again.
