AI to PSD missing some layer information.

I have an AI document with over 50 layers. When exporting to a layered PSD file, about 30 layers are preserved but the rest appear as one layer in Photoshop. If I remove half of the layers in AI, the export function works as expected: the layers previously combined in the same layer are now separate in Photoshop.

Is there a limit on the number or complexity of AI document that can be converted to PSD without the loss of some layers?

    Sorry for the delay. I tried that and it didn't work for me, although I may have misunderstood the suggestion. Also, I noticed that this does not necessarily happen with a large number of layers. Sometimes Illustrator would combine all layers into one PSD layer even if the document has under 5 layers marked as .png.

    I ended up using a script that saves Illustrator layers directly to PNG files, which is actually more convenient for my workflow. Thanks to everyone who tried to help!

    Try using “release to Layers sequence ” in illustrator layer’s panel and export it as psd
