I have upgraded my windows computer with new graphic card etc.
So with a fresh computer I installed the latest version of illustrator ( 25.4.1) but for some reason I could not work in it. When trying to use the pentool the image flashed in white. Try to change some changes in performance settings but it did not work.
I installed version 24.3 instead and it work wonderful.
Is is a bug in version 25.4.1 or is it some kind of setting I need to do?

Hi again,
O gpt some help from the astute graphics community on this problem. And at the moment it seems like it got solved.
I went into the Preference>Selection and Anchor Diskplay and I changed the handle pinpoint llook to unfilled. That fixed the problem. then ( just for test ) I changed back to filled pinpoint and that worked too.
So it feel like it was something error in the default setting.
I also unchecked Prefence>Performance "Real-Time Drawing and Editing" but selected that again later so I

Please tell us about your hardware and system.
Do you have additional monitors? Which graphic card?
Are other applications running?

Sorry, I should have done that in the first message.
I use windows 10 ( up to date ),
INte core i7 4,9 GHz turbo
and graphic card is Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 ( up to date )
I have two monitors.
Illustrator 24.3 works fine.
What could be added in 25.4.1 that is the problem?

The graphic card is not on the list of specified cards: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/system-requirements.html
What happens when you unplug one of the monitors? Or change their order in the system?

The Nividea support said:
" If the GTX series are supported for this application, then the RTX series
should also work."

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback.
I had a look at the graphic card on the list and yes my card was not there. I was a good card so I thought it would work in most cases and it does so far.
Here are my results.
1. Change order of the monitor in the system. Same result.
2.I used studio driver but this happend before I installed nvidea experience and the studio driver. Same result with studio driver.
3. It wasnot on a specific document I could not use the pentool at all. When starting to add a point workingspace started to flicker, white and for some reason blue.
4. My computer is brand new with a new installed windows 10 and illustrator was one of the first program I installed.
5. Since I used illustrator on this new computer the pref setting was new from the start.
6.Turning off GPU did not solve the problem.
7. I installed version 25.0 instead and there it was no problem with the GPU. Well. after a while I noticed the round circles in the end of the handles was gone. Maybe a bug in that version.

Thank you for sharing the details. In v25, the issue you are mentioning can be due to Bounding Box are hidden. You can toggle them quickly by pressing Shift+ctrl+B (Go to View Menu > Show Bounding Box). Also, I would request you to install Illustrator v25.4.1 in your free time and do the following steps and let us know how it goes:

Hi Anshul,
I now installed version 25.4.1 over the version 25.0 I had installed and the flickering was not there and I could add vectorpoints with the pentool as I not could before. Maybe it was because I had installed v 25 before and some settings I made in this was imported.
The Bounding Box was visible. I did hide it but there was no change.
The only change problem I noticed with this quick test was that the handles had no circles in the end to grab.
Se I have not done any of the renaming- operations you mentioned since the flickering was not there.
But I guess I will use version 24 until I tested v 25 more and it feels more stable.

Thank you for sharing all the details. I would like to know how 25.4.1 is performing now? Also, are you referring to rounding corners as circles? If yes, make sure you are using the Selection tool or Direct Selection tool, and Bounding box & Edges are on. If it is something else, I will request to elaborate on your issue and, if possible, share a small recording demonstrating the issue. It could be really helpful.

Thank you for sharing the clip. I checked the video, and you are using a third-party extension or a plugin which is why handles and bounding box look different. After removing/ uninstalling the plugin or extension, reset Illustrator Preferences (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html), and see if that help resolve the issue.

The Astute plugins for illustrator are very well known and used and I dont think the problem is there. But I will check with them. It works fine with latest version of 24 but the problem started in 25.
So I will stick with version 24 for a while more until this seems to have been solved.
Thanks for the support.

So some kind of small bug could be there as default.
But glad it seems like I can work in version 25 again.

Glad to hear that, and thank you for sharing this with us mattias@gordon.se. I would request you share a screenshot of your current settings in Preferences > Selection and Anchor Display. It would help others with a similar issue.
