Align to key object: set preferences

New Here ,
Oct 05, 2023 Oct 05, 2023

When alingning to key object, the key object is by default the one on top. Is it possible to set it to be always the bottom object by default? In 100% of the cases, i need to align the last object to the rest of the layout, and never the other way around. Thanks a lot!

The key object is NOT by default the one on top. After you have a selection you need to click a second time on an object to set that as a key object.IT wil then get a bolder selection color frame around that object.

In this screenshot the black rectangle is set as the key object, and you can see eh layer option color of blue is bolder.

If you just select some objects and then click on key object, it's always the one on top. If you have to do that a couple of times per day, then changing that would surely save some time.

Or make it based on what's selected first (like when merging swatches)
