All Copy-paste Embedded Image turn White - ie. Lost forever

New Here ,
Oct 31, 2022 Oct 31, 2022

Hi all,

Multiple times now I've copy-pasted images and screenshots into an illustrator file (ie embedded images), only to have them randomly "turn white" and lose all image information. This has happened locally and when connected through a VPN, also during a crash and opening the [recovered] version.

FYI Adobe's IT team was unable to fix the issue after a 45-minute phone call and screen share so I might be out of luck here - But still wanted to post this in case other users were running into this issue as well.

I haven't experienced that issue.

Are the pasted images showing in the Links panel?

Hello @vivsxx,

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind providing some details about the circumstances under which these files were saved or edited and the location of the files where they were stored? For example, were there any unexpected Illustrator crashes, sudden app closures, system shutdowns, or power cuts during the editing process?

Also, kindly share a link to a sample file after uploading to Dropbox/Google Drive/etc. so we can check it on our end.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav
