All of a sudden... GRADIENT not working at all!

Never have run into this ... when I click on gradient tool I get a ' + cursor with a circle and line through it' and it shows nothing, zip, when I try to make a gradient box ... dont know what to do as I'm sure its some stupid little setting or something I bumped on the keyboard.

Any help would be most appreciated!!!

The gradient tool does not create gradients, but adjusts existing ones. This is a common misconcpetion as on other software like Photoshop you can create a gradeint with the gradeint tool.

Select a shape, and click here to fill an item with gradient.
