All PDFs saving as "Adobe Illustrator Document"

No matter which program I use (Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign) if I save my document as a PDF, it saves as an "Adobe Illustrator Document". Therefore whenever I go to view a PDF it opens in Illustrator, even though my default program for viewing PDFs is "preview". Any thoughts?

Hi there,

I believe it's a file association issue, Illustrator is set as default application to open PDF files.
You can change the default application for PDF files, please check the steps here: https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/how-to-change-default-applications-mac

Sahil

Sahil,

Thank you so much! That fixed it. That's so odd, it was showing preview as the default initially, but wasn't set to that whenever I went into it.
