I know this isn't the correct forum, but I really need simple 3D objects (hopefully for free), like rounded hockey puck shapes or cones

This type of thing is what I'm looking for - saved as a .OBJ or a Collada (ZAE / DAE) File....

If you're looking for a separate application for simple 3D, take a look at Adobe Dimension, Buy Adobe Dimension CC | Photo-real 3D images for product and package design It comes with Creative Cloud.

I thought of that, but based on what I could understand, you can't create within Dimensions CC...

I guess I should clarify - I want a 3D model that could go into a 3D program... (not just Illustrator or Photoshop) Thanks

You can make this in Illustrator using the 3D Effects.

    Here's a video tutorial about Extrude & Bevel: http://www.jeffwitchel.net/2011/11/good-as-gold/

You should also look at 3D Revolve and 3D Rotate. A hockey puck and a cone could be made very easily with Revolve.
