To learn the Appearance panel, maybe take a look at this video:

https://youtu.be/zXvRbN03MzQ

And if picking up a color with the eyedropper does not result in the expected color, then maybe check out this: https://youtu.be/YZooJyG2UT4

Can you show your result? And the Appearance panel?

Also in Anne's video the wording is not right. Applying an additional fill does not "make the text behave like a compound path". It's just that you can do things with a fill on the text object that you cannot do with the original  fill on the Characters themselves.

Thanks for the help. Fill color change only reflect in layer but not in the compound path. What is the reason for that? Video also uploaded.

Your compound path has a special appearance applied. Please open the Appearance panel and check it out. Did you watch both my videos?

Type in Illustrator has two 'levels' of appearance: the Characters and the Type object. 'Characters' is selected when you use the type tool to select text; you can only apply one fill and one stroke at this level, and gradients and effects cannot be applied. The type object is selected when you use the selection tools. At this level you can apply a fill, select it, then apply a gradient -- as well as add multiple fills/strokes and effects like any other object.
