Area type - horizontal alignment bug

Hi, 

I have this area type that is realigning the text to top even if I ask to be centered... Any idea?

Seems to work for me in Mac AI 30.1

Can you share the file by attaching it to a post?

Change the extension from .ai to .pdf or save as PDF

Thank you for reaching out and sorry for the trouble. As our expert mentioned, I am also unable to reproduce the issue on my end with the 30.1 version on my Mac machine. Would you mind checking the issue on a new text box on a new file and sharing the results with us? 

Please share the details of your operating system and the version of Illustrator installed on your machine.

Thanks for trying to help. 

After working on the file for some time, the bug seems to have disappered. Not able to reproduce yet but...

My version is 30.0 on Mac Tahoe 26.1.
