Artboard for a spread

If creating an artboard for a book spread should I create as one large artboard or two separate ones?

I have to click on the key object icon, then on the gudline, then select both and then center align?

So this will be placed in InDesign?

I think I would create one large artboard. That way whenever there needs to be more bleed added, it won't ba a problem in the layout.

But if you are collaborating with someone else, maybe ask them what they want.

I thought so too, but how would I center align this just to the right sectioin (from 10'' to 20'')

The guide is aligning to the bowl instead of the bowl to the guide.

That's why I said:

"Click again on the Guideline to set it as key object and click Horizontal Align Center."

Hendy,

It really depends on the printer, whether company (speak to them about it) and/or device, and chosen way of handling the printing.

Working with the actual spread asks for one large artboard, but in most cases the the single page is the basic unit on its own artboard.

Be quick, before someone tells you to do it in InDesign.

Obviously, the predominant kind of contents (from artwork (with words added) to words (with artwork added)), and number of pages/spreads, and number of copies, and uniformity, of the book may determine which application is more/most suitable; InDesign being (more) obvious with more wordiness and more of the other variables.
