Hi guys,

I tried launching the app and no matter what sort of artboard I choose its always black. I tried to draw objects and the objects can't be seen but whenever I mouse over I can see the symbol change to all the rotating or adjusting arrows. Thus shows that I actually did drew something but its totally black along with the workspace. I did try to unhide artboard but I realize when I go to the option,my artboard wasn't hidden. I also tried to open my psd files and I can see the layers at the side column but my workspace is still totally black.

To conclude, my workspace is totally black now matter what i do to it. I am unable to access the white art board.

Thank u oh

I'm sure you've figured this out now, but: Edit > Preferences > Performance > Un-tick GPU Performance. This will probably solve a lot of these issues.

I had the exact same issue and this worked for me so thank you!!  Edit > Preferences > Performance > Un-tick GPU Performance. This will probably solve a lot of these issues.

Can you provide a screenshot that shows your scratch area including the black artboard?

Moreover, can you show your Document Setup dialog (see File > Document Setup …)?

I will show the example of me opening a psd file. As you can see from image 1, it is the preview of my document. In the 2nd image it shows that after i open the files, i can only see the layers but not the art board. The last image is the document setup. Thank you !

    Hi there,

When i tried that, it reflected the option of hide artboard. this means that my artboard is actually there, but i somehow cant see it.

Have you already tried View > Preview on CPU?
